Calgary is about to turn into Stampede Party Town, and with the Calgary Stampede, Cowboys Music Festival, and Oxford Stomp kicking off the month, the city is buzzing with excitement.

But if you’re seeking a more intimate, local vibe, where you’re more likely to bump into neighbours in plaid rather than a crowd of glittery cowboy hats and tailored trousers, we have the perfect event for you!

The much-loved Roundup MusicFest is back and taking place at Prince’s Island Park on July 10th!

This one-day festival boasts a stellar lineup, featuring legendary bands and a fresh new act, promising a truly unique and electrifying music experience.

You’ll know many songs, so bring your best singing voice and belt out the tunes!

Goo Goo Dolls

For the first time at Prince’s Island Park, Calgary welcomes the Goo Goo Dolls, pioneers of alternative 90s rock, with chart-topping hits like Iris and Slide

The band has had seven top-40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, which includes three top-ten songs. They have sold 15 million records worldwide and received four Grammy Award nominations.

Their live performance promises to be a nostalgic journey you don’t wanna miss.

Gin Blossoms

A real gem of a band that embodies the catchphrase “if you know, you know,” the Gin Blossoms are bringing their 90s alternative rock sound back to the stage.

Featuring catchy tunes such as Hey Jealousy and Follow You Down, their infectious energy and timeless appeal will surely get the crowd singing along.

Between the Gin Blossoms and the Goo Goo’s, we bet there’ll be much reminiscing about the good old days of tartan flannel shirts and stonewashed blue jeans.

Crash Test Dummies

Speaking of 90s icons, Winnipeg’s Crash Test Dummies started off the 90s with a uniquely alternative bang.

Featuring Brad Roberts’ distinctive baritone vocals and quirky storytelling, Crash Test Dummies are best known for the iconic hist Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm and Superman’s Song.

Their performance at Prince’s Island Park promises to blend introspective lyrics and unique musical arrangements, demonstrating that these guys have yet to put a foot on the brakes.

They will be debuting songs for their upcoming new album, so expect the classic hits plus new material.

That sounds yummy to us…Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm!

Uncle Strut

Adding a funky twist to the lineup, Vancouver’s Uncle Strut brings their eclectic mix of funk, soul, and groove to the mix of classic 90s hits.

Having seen these guys in concert ourselves, we can vouch that while they may not have the decades of hits to back them up yet – they’re a damn good time.

With their infectious rhythms and dynamic stage presence, they’re set to energize the audience and keep the party going well into the night!
