Sometimes, it can feel like problems surround us.

We’ve all got challenges in our lives, and then, besides our personal difficulties, there are all the calamities in the world at large.

Look at any news outlet or social media platform, and you’ll likely be overwhelmed by all the bad news!

Sometimes, even walking out the door can leave you confronted with an issue that feels daunting to solve.

It’s enough to make you want to stay in bed!

Good News is All Around Us!

But there’s a lot of good news out there; we just have to open our eyes, ears, and hearts to it.

One Calgarian was feeling overwhelmed by the amount of negative information they were assaulted with.

“All of this bad news/crime/politics/etc is really taking a toll on my mental health,” @FamousAbie wrote on a Calgary Reddit page.

FamousAbie was determined to find some good news and put out a plea, asking Albertans to share stories of the happy moments in their lives.

“Please share your good news here. Brag it up!”

What resulted has to be one of the most wholesome and loving internet threads we’ve ever read, so in the spirit of holiday gratitude, we wanted to share it.

Most of the stories people had to share were funny, small wins, moments of gratitude, and little open-hearted interactions.

For example, here are a few ‘small but happy’ moments:

Other people were celebrating massive milestones! And loved to share that news with others on the Reddit thread.

Some of the most beautiful comments were from people who were celebrating good news in the lives of others, such as their friends, family, neighbours or someone they didn’t even know at all!

Overall, people were so happy to hear everyone’s news. The hundreds of comments the posting received reminded readers of how much good there really is happening in Alberta.

We loved seeing all the positive comments and the shared community.

If you want a little joyful uplift, be sure to read the entire thread yourself

We’re grateful to serve a community of such awesome people and hope to keep the gratitude rolling through the New Year.

Happy Holidays!
